Student life we have experienced it ourselves, or we know at least a few students. Did you know that student life is a very good excuse for some people to get rid of everything? A beer here, a wine there, a festival here etc. Many students often gain the necessary kilos in their first year without actually noticing it.
You must make sure that you build a healthy lifestyle for yourself. Easier said than done of course you would think. But that is not entirely true. There are a few simple things you can do that will keep you comfortable throughout your studies.
Make sure you always eat healthy food
It sounds very simple of course, but it actually works this way. If you fill your fridge every day with only tasty snacks, then you will understand that you will always quickly grab something unhealthy. Therefore, make sure that you go out at least once a week to make a purchase. When you start shopping, it doesn’t necessarily have to be complicated. Just simply brings in things that you like, but that are also healthy. Here is a list that you can use as a guideline:

If you put these things in your shopping basket, you know that you always have tasty and healthy things to eat at home. It is only a guideline, but use this if you want to live a healthy life as a student.
I also have a very good tip for you when you go shopping: never go shopping on an empty stomach. If you do, you will see that your basket is filled with unhealthy products. People who buy groceries on an empty stomach often come home with things such as: cookies, chips and candy. Just a handy thing you know, what you do with it is up to you.
Make sure you start practicing a sport
Building a healthy life as a student is of course not easy. You have to invest time for this. I do understand that studying in a new city is usually accompanied by a crowded agenda. After all, you have a new study that you are going to follow, and in addition a lot of new people have come into your life that you would like to spend the whole day with.
Whether you are a student or not, it is important for everyone to exercise sufficiently. That is why it can be an advantage for you to register with a sports club at the beginning of the year. It does not really matter much which sport you choose, if you only choose one and start practicing it at least once a week.
We bet you will feel very fit this way? And are you unable to choose a sport during the first few weeks of your student days? That is not bad at all. You could then choose to go for a walk every day. Make sure that you walk at least five kilometers a day. This is also a matter of just doing without thinking about it. But it is very effective. The walk not only ensures that your weight stays on arrow, but you can also get rid of stress while walking. Every step you take makes your head a little freer and more empty.Walking is perhaps a light form of cardio, but you guessed it: it is certainly no less good for you.
Where you used to be able to join your parents at home at 5 p.m. while eating, you must now cook for yourself. So it’s really tempting to only eat when you’re hungry. In some cases it is also at 5:00 pm, but on other days it can happen to you that you won’t be in the kitchen until 10:00 pm to prepare food.
But did you know that if you create a fixed rhythm your body simply responds much better? Especially in combination with your sports routine, it is just handy to eat at the same times every day. This way you not only prevent a bloated feeling, but your body also gets energy to continue throughout the day.
Of course it is not bad sometimes to deviate from your routines, that is part of it.Students sometimes have to do with spontaneous parties, and it should stay that way.But by generally eating at set times, you prevent being overweight and staying healthy as a student.
Take rest in the evening
If your agenda overflows every month from all projects and exams, it could be that you become a star in plans. But it’s also very important to sleep well. Because without a good night’s sleep you perform much less well. A good night’s rest gives you energy for the new day that is coming. Therefore, make sure that your sleep routine is in order.You may deviate from your sleep routine once in a while, but also ensure regularity here. You will see that if your sleep routine is in order, you will live a healthy life as a student.
Building a healthy life as a student is very possible. It is a matter of adjusting your life where it is needed. Ensure peace and regularity, and eat enough healthy food so that you do not suddenly gain kilos.
